Chitungwiza has made significant strides in enhancing cleanliness through a community-led clean-up initiative, aligning with the country’s commitment to thorough cleaning on the first Friday of each month as declared by President Mnangagwa.
This initiative aims to promote hygiene, sustainability, and a cleaner environment throughout the nation.
In a collaborative effort, various stakeholders came together, including the Chitungwiza business community, Chitungwiza Municipality, St. Mary’s Muslim Community, St. Aiden’s Primary School, the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe, and the Zimbabwe Empowerment Trust.
Their collaborative effort underscored the importance of community involvement in creating a cleaner Chitungwiza.

Chitungwiza Mayor, Her Worship Rosarira Mangoma, expressed her gratitude for the outstanding support from local businesses and residents who participated in the clean-up campaign.
