Zimbabwe has strategically enhanced its visibility within the crucial French tourism market through its recent participation at the Association des Offices Nationaux Étrangers de Tourisme (ADONET) Rencontres Travel Media and Trade event in Paris.

This premier gathering featured 54 international destinations and provided Zimbabwe with a vital platform to actively promote the country.

Zimbabwe used this strategic opportunity to engage directly with leading Travel Media, Content Creators, Tour Operators, and Travel Agencies in France.

The nation’s representatives focused on showcasing the destination’s diverse attractions and unique experiences.

Key engagements were held with major French travel publications, including TourMag and Le Quotidien, both of which revealed a strong interest in featuring Zimbabwe.

Discussions highlighted the country’s celebrated natural and cultural heritage, particularly focusing on national gems such as Gonarezhou National Park and the ancient ruins of the Great Zimbabwe.

Beyond traditional tourism marketing, the mission also explored exciting opportunities to showcase Zimbabwean Gastronomy on renowned French television channels, specifically ARTE and SFX.

This effort is aimed at further positioning Zimbabwe as a culturally rich and sustainable destination that appeals to the discerning French traveller.

Zimbabwe’s strategic presence at ADONET underscored its commitment to deepening partnerships and significantly enhancing destination appeal within the highly competitive French tourism market.

The positive reception signals a promising outlook for increased French arrivals, supporting the overall #ExperienceZimbabwe and #ZimBho national tourism drive.

The delegation’s proactive outreach aims to translate the strong interest shown by French travel professionals into concrete media features and new tour packages for 2026, strengthening the nation’s footprint in the key European source market.
