Sybeth Chomusora Musengezi has told Zimbabweans that the current fights between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Deputy has nothing to do with citizens citing that people should not be used in personal agendas.
Musengezi made the remarks while addressing journalists at a Press Conference held in Harare on Monday. In his own view, Zanu-PF is a system which Mnangagwa inherited from Mugabe and nothing will ever change as far as regime change is concerned in the politics of Zimbabwe.
“I have come to realize that ZanuPF is a system that was inherited by Mnangagwa from Mugabe. Mnangagwa is going nowhere whether you like it or not. His fights with Chiwenga is none of our business. Let them fight. If Mnangagwa wins then he is Clever than Chiwenga and if Chiwenga wins then he is smarter. This has nothing to do with people of Zimbabwe,” he said.
Musengezi also warned people against marching in streets to remove Mnangagwa led Government saying those calling for protests like Blessed Geza are after personal benefits.
” I disagree with Geza in calling people to march in streets to remove Mnangagwa from power because him Geza once benefited from the same system and as a failure he now sees its bedevils. So Zimbabweans don’t be used by these people, if you march its you who will die, ” he added.
Musengezi is willing to work with Mnangagwa’s government on areas of economic empowerment citing that people are hungry and they need jobs.
” For now i am extending my plea to Mnangagwa to work with us on areas of economic empowerment because people are suffering out there. They need food, they need employment and better living standards.”
Musengezi also denounced the PVO Bill saying the law is retrogressive as it will further worsen the assistance that is constantly given to marginalised members of the society.
