Destiny for Afrika Network Launches Massive Housing and Empowerment Drive for Christians

Mutare, Zimbabwe – Destiny for Afrika Network (DANET) has launched a sweeping initiative in Mutare, combining affordable housing with a radical vision for the economic transformation of the Christian community across Zimbabwe.

Under the leadership of its Founding President, Dr. Reverend Obediah Musindo, DANet is championing a new era where the church moves beyond spiritual focus to become a powerful “engine for entrepreneurship development” and a center for holistic community empowerment.

The cornerstone of the current drive is a significant affordable housing scheme, prioritizing church leaders and Christians with generous discounts and an attractive five-year Special Personal Payment Plan.

This scheme aims to put homeownership within reach for thousands, reinforcing Dr. Musindo’s belief that “Christians, DANet having your house is there in the bible especially on inheritance. There must be the spirit of ownership of houses, companies and natural resources.”

Rev Obadiah Msindo’s Christian Perspective and Fullfilment of Vision 2030

Destiny for Afrika Network led by Reverend Dr. Obedia Musindo strongly believe in Vision 2030 which was pronounced by President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, as it encompasses all sectors of life. This covers the spiritual aspects of Christians, the social aspect of life, economic and the educational side.

In his own words Rev. Musindo said he is “InspirED and MotivatED by God’s Word and The Bigger Collective and All-Encompassing Vision 2030 Created By Our God given President ED Mnangagwa.”

“The Vision of President Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is addressing the needs of Zimbabweans in their totality. So his Vision is touching in the spirit, the body, the mind, the well being, the education, food and shelter. So we strongly believe that all hands of Zimbabweans must be on the deck. We are calling on all Christian leaders lets work with the President and the Government, lets strengthen our hands together as a church play your part. The President has this natural bigger Vision being implemented at Ward level, District Level, Constituency Level, Provincial Level and National Level, so it is these multisectorial efforts being put across the country that will make Vision 2030 a Success, ” he said.

Redefining the Role of the Church
In a powerful interview at the Mutare launch, Dr. Musindo detailed his broader plan for church infrastructure and economic self-sufficiency.

He announced 12,000 Stands for New Church Hubs, 50 000 Stands for Church Leaders and More than 200 000 stands for all Christians across the country, including rural and urban centers, earmarked for the construction of modern church buildings by 2030.

But these facilities are envisioned as more than just places of worship. Dr. Musindo demands that they become “community development hubs,” creating employment and serving as centers for relief, social welfare, and “vocational training Centres.”

This focus on practicality is critical, as he stressed, “Let’s deal with real things affecting our communities.”

Empowering Pastors and Renewing the Mind
Dr. Musindo addressed the precarious financial positions faced by many church leaders, noting, “Most pastors are becoming destitutes when kicked out of the church.”

He insists they must be empowered with “modern day leadership skills” to redefine their role.

The challenge, he argues, is a mindset shift. He urges pastors not to solely “rely on those offerings,” but to “run their own businesses to compete on the markets.”

This requires a new commitment to practical effort: “They must not just pray but they must pray and do something. They must fast and work hard. They must not just preach and talk they must work.”

The ultimate goal, according to DANet’s President, is a spiritual decolonization of the mind. Dr. Musindo firmly stated, “Poverty eradication in Africa must start in the house of God,” and that “Christians are not destined to live in poverty. Poverty is not on our portion.”

He concluded with a call to action, reminding Christians that God is a “God of Abundance, knowledge, silver and Gold,” and true freedom comes from acting on God’s word, as Jesus taught: “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”
