Mutare, The countdown to the 2025 NetOne Albun Honde Valley Marathon has officially begun!
NetOne Group Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Raphael Mushanawani, passionately launched the event, hailing it as more than just a race—but a “movement” for national development, health, and wellness.Speaking at the press launch, Eng. Mushanawani underscored the marathon’s significance, stating it is a celebration of the Eastern Highlands’ “breathtaking beauty” where “nature and endurance unite in perfect harmony.”
Championing National Development NetOne is strategically aligning the marathon with the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1), specifically its pillars on health, well-being, and tourism.
“We believe that a healthy nation is a productive nation,” the CEO stated, emphasizing that the event is a vital platform to encourage physical activity and mental wellness.
Beyond the competitive spirit, the marathon serves as a powerful magnet for local tourism. Eng. Mushanawani invited visitors to experience Honde Valley, describing it as a “hidden gem” and a “paradise” known for its lush green hills, cascading waterfalls, and the unique aroma of fresh coffee and bananas.
