Harare, Zimbabwe – International delegates attending the ongoing International Youth Summit on Land and Economic Freedoms have lauded the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport for its efficient visa processing and modern infrastructure.
The summit, which began on Saturday and concludes on Monday, aims to reignite Pan-Africanism and foster solidarity among young people.
Hayk Derzyan, President of NG. WD from Armenia, expressed his delight with his first trip to Africa. “My coming here was very easy and very good,” he commented. “I was welcomed at the beautiful airport with warmth. I didn’t face any visa challenges; everything was just top-notch and super excellence.”
Derzyan also praised the airport staff, noting, “We come to airport, we see very beautiful, very smart, very great people.”
Kijana Johnson, Vice President of the People’s National Party Youth Organisation from Jamaica, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the warmth and hospitality received upon arrival. “From the very first moment we arrived here in Africa, we felt the level of hospitality and the warmth and the great greetings that we would have received,” Johnson stated.
He also commended the visa application process, noting, “I just went online and I was able to easily apply for the visa and it took no time for me to actually be successful at it. The moment when we arrived, we didn’t experience any challenges at the airport as it relates to them accommodating.”
The positive feedback from international delegates underscores Zimbabwe’s commitment to providing a welcoming and efficient entry point for visitors, aligning with the summit’s broader goal of fostering Pan-African unity and collaboration.
The International Youth Summit on Land and Economic Freedoms, led by President Taurai Kandishaya, serves as a crucial platform for young people to discuss vital issues concerning economic growth and land reform within the Pan-African framework.
