Over 130 Chinhoyi Pastors Benefit as DANet Launches Massive Housing Drive for Christians

Chinhoyi , Zimbabwe – The Destiny for Afrika Network (DANet) has initiated a sweeping housing and empowerment drive across Zimbabwe, kicking off in Chinhoyi where over 130 pastors have already benefited. This initiative is a core part of DANet’s vision to transform the Christian community through economic self-sufficiency and ownership.

A Vision for Ownership: Stands for 250,000+ Christians
Under the leadership of its Founding President, Dr. Reverend Obediah Musindo, DANet is championing a program that combines spiritual focus with practical, entrepreneurial development. The massive scheme has set ambitious targets:

  • 12,000 Stands for New Church Hubs
  • 50,000 Stands for Church Leaders
  • More than 200,000
  • Stands for all Christians across the country
The cornerstone of the current drive is an affordable housing scheme, offering generous discounts and an attractive five-year Special Personal Payment Plan to put homeownership within reach.
  • Dr. Musindo emphasizes that having a house is a form of inheritance rooted in the Bible, stating, “There must be the spirit of ownership of houses, companies and natural resources.”
Redefining the Church: From Worship to Community Hub
Dr. Musindo detailed a broader plan that seeks to redefine church infrastructure. The newly established church facilities are envisioned as more than just places of worship; they must become “community development hubs.”
    He insists these hubs must:
  • Create employment opportunities.
  • Serve as centers for relief and social welfare.
  • Function as “vocational training Centres.”

  • “Let’s deal with real things affecting our communities,” he stressed, prioritizing practicality and economic self-sufficiency within the church.

  • Empowering Pastors and Renewing the Mindset
A key component of the initiative is addressing the financial insecurity faced by many church leaders—a reality where “Most pastors are becoming destitutes when kicked out of the church.”
Dr. Musindo is challenging this status quo by urging pastors to gain “modern day leadership skills” and avoid solely relying on offerings. He encourages a crucial mindset shift:
  • Pastors must “run their own businesses to compete on the markets.”
  • “They must not just pray but they must pray and do something. They must fast and work hard.”
The ultimate goal is the spiritual decolonization of the mind and poverty eradication. As Dr. Musindo asserts, “Poverty eradication in Africa must start in the house of God,” because “Christians are not destined to live in poverty.”

  • Anchored in Vision 2030 and God’s Word
  • Reverend Dr. Musindo’s vision is strongly aligned with President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, which he believes addresses the totality of Zimbabweans’ needs—spiritual, social, economic, and educational.
He credits the President as a God-given leader who inspired and motivated the initiative. Rev. Musindo called on all Christian leaders to unite and work with the government, emphasizing that multi-sectorial efforts are necessary to make Vision 2030 a success.

  • He concluded with a spiritual call to action, reminding Christians that God is a “God of Abundance, knowledge, silver and Gold,” and that freedom comes from acting on the truth: “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”
