Amid the rollout of the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2), the Destiny of Afrika Network (DANET), led by its Founding President Rev Dr. Obedia Msindo, is making tangible strides toward fulfilling President Emerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 for an empowered upper middle-income society.

DANET’s focus on providing affordable housing stands as a testament to its role as a genuine vision implementer, directly addressing key socio-economic challenges in Zimbabwe.

Walking the Talk: Over 200,000 Affordable Stands

DANET has set an ambitious goal to deliver more than 200,000 affordable residential stands, actively walking the talk in the journey to meet national housing targets.

This initiative is crucial for vulnerable and low-income earners, tackling the perennial challenge of housing deficits in major urban centers.

Rev Dr. Msindo’s strategic implementations are evident in successful housing projects across the nation, spanning big cities like Harare, Mutare, Chinhoyi, Kadoma, and Marondera.

These projects confirm that DANET has broadened its scope from a simple organization into an institution with a clear vision focused on addressing the quo challenges facing communities in Zimbabwe and potentially beyond.

A Foundation in Nationalistic Principles

The success of DANET is rooted in Rev Dr. Msindo’s foundation, which is nationalistic in principle and strongly guarded by the belief that genuine Christian movements must be proactive in nation-building.

This ethos aligns directly with the government’s development philosophy, emphasizing that housing provision is not just a social service but a critical pillar of economic stability and empowerment.

His dedication to success in empowerment drives—ranging from economic entrepreneurship to youth and women emancipation—was recently recognized internationally. Rev Dr. Msindo was conferred with a prestigious Doctorate in Zambia for his noteworthy achievements and continuous efforts to empower citizens through strategic implementations, including the widespread provision of affordable housing schemes.

The Vision 2030 Implementer

President Mnangagwa’s Vision for an upper middle-income society by 2030 requires implementers who possess genuine vision and commitment.

Rev Dr. Msindo, whose strong political stance remains unquestionable, embodies this commitment. By targeting massive affordable housing delivery, DANET is directly contributing to the “leaving no one and no place behind” mantra.

The initiative ensures that thousands of families gain security and ownership, which is a fundamental prerequisite for improved livelihoods and sustained economic participation, thus translating the national aspiration into tangible reality for the masses.
