Zimbabwean dancehall sensation, Nutty-O, was the star of the show at the ongoing Zimbabwe International Youth Trade Fair and Conference, leaving a lasting impression on attendees, including prominent Pan-Africanist, Professor Patrick Lumumba.
During a presentation, Nutty-O’s declaration of focusing on a global reach piqued the interest of Professor Lumumba, who was seated beside Honorable Member of Parliament, Dr. Chamu Chiwanza. “Who is that young man? Who is he? Is he Zimbabwean?” inquired the impressed Professor.
Called to the front by Dr. Chiwanza, Nutty-O didn’t disappoint, delivering a hilarious performance that further captivated the audience and Professor Lumumba.
This followed an earlier electrifying performance of his popular track, “Handipere Power Power.”Dr. Chiwanza, recognizing the potential synergy, urged Nutty-O to connect directly with Professor Lumumba.
“From here I want you to go straight to the Professor and get his contacts, I know he is going to assist you to go globally,” Dr. Chiwanza advised.
Following the advice, Nutty-O approached Professor Lumumba, receiving a significant hug and his contact information—a gesture culturally recognized as a blessing.
Professor Lumumba is in Zimbabwe attending the conference, themed “We are the Future, The Future is Now,” underscoring the event’s focus on empowering young talent. This encounter marks a significant step for Nutty-O towards achieving his global aspirations.
