In a powerful demonstration of corporate patriotism and national service, NetOne has reaffirmed its position as a key partner in Zimbabwe’s national development.

Guided by its strategic Stakeholder Engagement pillar, the telecommunications giant recently participated in the high-profile Cultural Escape Experience held at the Baradzanwa Cultural Village Resort in Mazowe.

This participation serves as a strong signal of solidarity with the Government’s ongoing drive to position cultural tourism as a vital pillar for economic transformation and national pride.

The high-level NetOne delegation was led by Board Non-Executive Director, Dr. George Manyaya, who was joined by the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Joseph Machiva.

Their presence, alongside officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, underscored the importance of private-public partnerships in achieving national goals.

By stepping out of the boardroom and into the heart of the country’s cultural landscape, NetOne is proving that digital connectivity and traditional heritage can walk hand-in-hand to empower local communities.

The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Her Excellency First Lady Dr. Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa. As the founder and visionary behind the Cultural Escape Experience, the First Lady continues to lead the charge in elevating Zimbabwe’s rich heritage.

Her efforts are focused on ensuring that culture becomes a source of inclusive economic growth and sustainable livelihoods for rural populations. NetOne’s involvement highlights its commitment to harnessing its digital reach to unlock the tourism potential of these culturally significant sites.

Looking ahead, NetOne remains anchored in the aspirations of the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and the country’s journey toward Vision 2030. By connecting even the most remote communities, the network provider is enabling a prosperous and culturally grounded Zimbabwe.

This engagement is a testament to NetOne’s mission to go beyond telecommunications, acting as a steadfast guardian of the nation’s identity while driving the technological progress necessary for a united and successful future.
