Businessman Wicknell Chivhayo has once again dominated Zimbabwean social media feeds after publicly gifting veteran Sungura musician Taruvinga “Sugar Sugar” Manjokota a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD-6, alongside US$10,000 in cash for fuel.

The dramatic gesture unfolded after Chivhayo shared a heartwarming family moment online. In a detailed social media post, the flamboyant tycoon described how watching his children dance to Sugar Sugar’s classic hit Todya Mudododo deeply moved him.

”When you compose a song that crosses generations to the extent that our little children know it, request it, and dance to it, then surely that talent cannot simply be ignored,” Chivhayo wrote.

Anatomy of a Signature Chivhayo Gift

Chivhayo instructed the veteran musician to head to Enterprise Car Sales to collect his gift, complete with his usual signature terms:

  • The Vehicle: Brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner 2.4 GD-6 (fully paid).
  • The Cash: US$10,000 allowance dedicated for fuel.
  • The Contact: Collection coordinated via car dealership manager Madzibaba Chipaga.

The Power of “Todya Mudododo”

Sugar Sugar, who fronted the Five Seven Boys during the peak of Sungura music’s popularity in the early 2000s, scored an undeniable household classic with Todya Mudododo. Chivhayo credited the timeless track with lifting his spirits during tough days, calling music “one of the best medicines in life.”

This latest reward adds to a growing list of Zimbabwean artists, church leaders, and cultural figures who have received high-end vehicles from the businessman.
