Zimbabwe is set to host the prestigious Mrs India Inc Season 7 and Femm International pageants following a strategic partnership between FlyCristal Airways (Pty) Ltd and Mrs India Inc, in a development that is expected to boost the country’s international tourism and events profile.

The partnership was announced at a Press Conference, Official Announcement and Meet-and-Greet held at Imba Matombo in Harare.

Under the collaboration, FlyCristal Airways will serve as the Lead Sponsor and Principal Logistics Partner, supporting travel, hospitality and destination arrangements for delegates, crew and international participants taking part in the Zimbabwe edition of the pageants.

The Zimbabwe edition will introduce a unique experience built around tourism, culture, wildlife and destination experiences, providing an international platform for showcasing Zimbabwe while creating opportunities for cultural exchange and economic activity.

Speaking at the event, Mrs India Inc representative Ms Mohini Sharma outlined the organisation’s journey, vision, purpose and international positioning, as well as the reasons behind the decision to bring Season 7 to Zimbabwe.

She also highlighted the vision for the Zimbabwe chapter and the role of Femm International in empowering women while using pageantry to promote Destination Zimbabwe.

Under the partnership, FlyCristal Airways will leverage its network to facilitate the movement of contestants and international participants while supporting the promotion of Zimbabwe as a competitive destination for MICE and leisure tourism.

The hosting of the pageants is expected to expose Zimbabwe’s tourism products to international participants and audiences, creating opportunities for the country to market its attractions, hospitality facilities, cultural heritage and wildlife experiences.

The initiative could also generate business opportunities for accommodation providers, transport operators, event management companies, tourism operators and other players across the tourism value chain.

The development comes as Zimbabwe continues to position tourism as a key pillar of socio-economic development and seeks to strengthen its capacity to host international conferences, cultural events, sporting activities, pageants and other global gatherings.

By bringing an internationally positioned pageantry platform to Zimbabwe, the partnership strengthens the link between aviation, tourism, international events and women’s empowerment, while creating additional avenues for destination marketing.

The collaboration aligns with national efforts to position Zimbabwe as a preferred destination for international events and pageantry, while supporting efforts to increase international visitor arrivals, stimulate tourism investment and create economic opportunities.

The Mrs India Inc Season 7 and Femm International pageants are therefore expected to go beyond the traditional pageantry platform by providing an opportunity to market Zimbabwe to new international audiences and reinforce the country’s growing profile as a destination for tourism, business events and unique cultural experiences.
