Zimbabwe Gender Commission Invites Stakeholder Input Ahead of National Gender Forum

​The Zimbabwe Gender Commission (ZGC) is calling for submissions from individuals and organisations to shape topical issues expected to headline the Annual National Gender Forum, slated for December in Mashonaland East Province. The forum will focus on gender equality, equity, and mainstreaming.

​The Commission made the announcement in the latest Government Gazette, highlighting a window period for stakeholders to present key topics in the build-up to the event.

​General Notice 1932 of 2026, contained in the Government Gazette, reads:

​”IT is hereby notified, in terms of section 8 of the Zimbabwe Gender Commission Act [Chapter 10:31], that the proposed date and venue for the Annual National Gender Forum is the 18th of December, 2026, in Mashonaland East Province. The proposed theme for the Forum is ‘From Bystanders to changemakers: The role of men in advancing gender equality.’ … stakeholder organisations and individuals with an interest in gender equality, gender equity and gender mainstreaming [are invited] to submit suggestions of topics to be included in the agenda for discussion at the Forum.”

​The ZGC also noted that submissions can be made in person or via the Zimbabwe Gender Commission’s official email addresses.
