Deputy Minister of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, Hon. Kudakwashe Mupamhanga, continues to engage communities across the 23 political districts as part of an outreach programme aimed at thanking constituents who voted for him in the 2023 harmonised elections.
The programme, which began in 2024, has seen Hon. Mupamhanga visit various districts, providing residents with opportunities to meet him in person, raise concerns and engage directly with their elected representative.
The latest gathering was held at Nyajenje Primary School in Mount Darwin South, where community engagement was combined with the Bhuru Dzvuku Tournament.
The tournament brings young people together through sport while raising awareness of the dangers of drug and substance abuse. The initiative also provides a platform for youth participation, teamwork and positive community interaction.
The latest matches have reached the quarter-final stage, with participating teams continuing their journey towards the end-of-year finals.
Among the districts covered so far are Urban A, Urban B, Tsakare A, Tsakare B, Pfura, Matope A, Matope B, Chindunduma, Nyama Hobogo, Ruya, Kandeya, Bvuma and Nyakasikana.
Through the programme, Hon. Mupamhanga is continuing his visits beyond the election period, combining his expression of gratitude to voters with opportunities for community engagement and youth participation.
The outreach programme is expected to continue as he works towards covering all 23 political districts.
